Melbourne Haul (Fossil, H&M, Kate Spade)

Hi guys! As you all know I went on a quick weekend trip away to Melbourne a week ago, check out my photolog here. I had an amazing time and now I’m sharing with you my purchases. I only flew with a carry on so I had limited space to fit everything into. So, I had to be tough on what I purchased. Without further ado, let’s begin the haul.

H&M

I went into H&M wanting to buy shirts for work. Now that it’s summer the work days will get hotter so I need more lighter material shirts. This one would be perfect with a skirt and statement necklace to jazz it up. With the vertical stripes it also elongates the body which is great for short girls like me!
A great casual shirt when paired with light wash bottoms or a patterned skirt. Nice and flowy – perfect for summer.

This time its a short sleeve work shirt! I love patterned shirts especially for work. They compliment any bottom and give a bit of jazz to any plain bottom. I could also work this casually with a light jacket and jeans with the front tucked in or with denim shorts.

Kate Spade

This photo was so out of focus but you get the point!
I bought this so that I didn’t have to carry a clutch around with me everywhere to store money and miscellaneous items. I have a card holder which is perfect for small bags but then for the times I just want to grab my wallet and go, it can be super bulky and difficult especially if you have your hands full. So, this purchase is for everyday! It has card slots and somewhere to put your money – perfect!

Sephora and Mecca Maxima

Now onto my mini Sephora and Mecca Maxima haul! First off I bought Beauty Blender’s Solid Brush and Sponge Cleaner since I really don’t like cleaning my sponges. I’d wait until they were all filthy before throwing them out or it would be time to use my brushes instead. Ever since I bought this product I’ve been cleaning my brushes and sponges more frequently so definitely worth the $9 or so. On the topic of make-up removing, I also purchased the  Sephora Triple Action Gentle Makeup Remover Gel. I was actually swatching some of the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks and went over to the main counter to remove them using this product. It removed all the lipstick off my hand perfectly with not much fuss or scrubbing. Even though I am an avid cleansing oil person, sometimes I don’t want to double cleanse or use a wipe so this product would be perfect for that.

At Mecca Maxima, I bought the Korres Shampoo in the mini size as I didn’t bring any with me. Plus, I now have a mini shampoo to bring around when I travel again. It also lathers up quite nicely without being excessive. I’m in love with mists so when the Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray was all the hype a few years back, I wanted to get my hands on it. With Urban Decay recently launching in Australia, I was finally able to try it out for myself. I have high hopes for the spray hopefully it helps my makeup last all day or night as promised. Finally, I purchased the Smashbox Colour Correcting Stick: Look Less Tired in Light. I’ve been religiously using the Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach – I’m currently on my 3rd one! With summer quickly approaching, the formula of the corrector has become too thick so as much as I love it, I would need to hunt for a new one. I wanted to try a liquid corrector similar to that of the Urban Decay Corrector but when trying it out in store, it didn’t really do much. I think I ended up trying almost all the correctors in store before finding this beauty. I have a medium skin tone so the light shade was perfect! I wouldn’t have to even use a concealer on top since it was brightening enough! I’ve been using it for the past few days and it’s a life saver.

Maybe I’ll do a review? Let me know in the comments if you’d like to see one.

Fossil

I love this bag! It’s not something I usually go for since I like the structured look, but it’s actually perfect for every day. It’s a good enough size to fit my essentials in and even my camera as well (score!). Since it is quite small, it helps me not lug around so many things, which is a plus!

I’d also bought 2 shirts for my younger brother and some snacks for my sister which I forgot photograph. Whoops!

Until next time~
